Elon University professor of philosophy and environmental studies Anthony Weston will speak on "How Long is Now?" in 115 Peabody Hall on Wednesday, January 16 as part of the Scott & Heather Kleiner Lecture Series. Weston is a scholar of pedagogy, critical thinking, environmentalism, and social philosophy who teaches and writes on a variety of interdisciplinary themes and subjects, working with biologists, astronomers, Zen masters, and environmental educators, among others. He is a founder of Hart’s Mill Ecovillage and Farm, a sustainable community in Efland, NC.

This lecture will focus on the concept of “now” or “the present moment,” offering an expanded exploration of temporal concepts in relation to the human experience. An informal reception will follow.
