Ramsey Lecture: Rupert Nacoste

Zell B. Miller Learning Center, 150

The 2018 Bernard B. Ramsey Lecture in Health Promotion and Behavior, "Getting Along on a Neo Diverse Campus," will be delivered by Dr. Rupert Nacoste, Alumni Distinguished Undergraduate Professor in the Department of Psychology at North Carolina State University.

Reception and refreshments will follow in the MLC North Tower.

Nacoste has been on the faculty at North Carolina State University since 1988. He served in the U.S. Navy from 1972-1976. Beginning during his service in the Navy, Nacoste has worked on diversity issues as a facilitator of racial discussions and as a scholar of interpersonal and intergroup relationships. At NCSU, Nacoste’s research and public service efforts have focused on developing a systematic understanding of the social psychology of social change in society and using that scholarly understanding to help people learn to manage the social changes that are influencing their everyday lives.

Additional support for this lecture provided by the UGA College of Public Health Department of Health Promotion and Behavior, the UGA Office of Institutional Diversity and the Stuart and Renée Feldman Health Disparities Awareness Fund at the UGA College of Public Health.
